24 Jun Sitting Under a Tree
Have you ever sat on the ground leaning against a tree?
When I do, something really wonderful happens. I somehow sink down
and into myself and get this calm and peaceful experience of just being me.
This little pause invites me to also pause all the doing, planning and hectic
activity that my mind is compulsively occupied with. I get to just sit and look
around for a bit and breathe. So simple, yet so relaxing and totally eye
opening for the beauty and magic that surrounds me. Beauty and magic.
It is there all the time, but it is like I need this little pause to start seeing it again.
Without me even trying, totally effortlessly, this experience comes back with
me to my art studio and sneaks its way into the comspositions that take shape
on the canvas. Harmony, peacefulness, magic and beauty. That is what wants to
be expressed, completely beyond intellectual construction, and this becomes my gift.
